The blade of the diamond saw blade is composed of diamond and carcass binder.
Diamond is a super hard material that functions as a cutting edge.
So How to Choose Diamond Saw Blade?
Selection of Diamond Grain Size
When the diamond grain size is coarse and single grain size, the blade of the saw blade is sharp and the sawing efficiency is high, but the bending strength of the diamond agglomeration is reduced.
When the diamond grain size is fine or the coarse and fine grain size is mixed, the saw blade has high durability, but Low efficiency.
So, it is more appropriate to choose a diamond size of 50/60 mesh
Selection of Diamond Blade Distribution Concentration
When the concentration of the diamond saw becomes higher, the sharpness and cutting efficiency become lower, but the service life becomes higher.
On the contrary, in the case of low concentration, the publication efficiency will become higher.
So, utilizing the different effects of various parts of the blade when sawing, using different concentrations.
Choice of Diamond Blade Strength
The strength of the diamond is an important index to ensure cutting performance.
If the strength is too high, the crystal will not be easily broken.
Should select the strength from 130 to 140N.
Choice of Bonding Phase
The performance of saw blade not only depend on diamond, but also on the overall performance of the composite material.
For example: Such as a cutter head composed of diamond with binder.
For soft stones such as marble, the cutter head are relatively low, so copper-based adhesive can be used.
However, the copper-based binder has low sintering temperature, low strength and hardness, high toughness, and low bonding strength with diamond.
When tungsten carbide (WC) is added, WC or W2C is used as the skeleton metal, and appropriate amount of cobalt is added to improve the strength, hardness and bonding characteristics, and a small amount of metals with low melting point and low hardness such as Cu, Sn, Zn and the like are used for bonding.
The particle size of the main ingredients should be finer than 200 mesh, and the particle size of the added ingredients should be finer than 300 mesh.
Choice of the Sintering Process
As the temperature increases.
- The degree of densification of the carcass increases.
- The bending strength also increases.
With the extension of the holding time, the bending strength of the blank carcass and diamond agglomeration increases first and then decreases.
So, sintering at 800 ℃ for 120s to meet the performance requirements.
